Exploring the Impact of Neptune in Aries

Writer: Inés KellyInés Kelly
On 30 March, the planet of illusion, Neptune enters Aries giving us an initial taste of what these energies will feel like. This monumental shift is a long-awaited transit that will help dissolve collective confusion. Neptune has been journeying through Pisces since 2012 and will retrograde back into Pisces later this year. Therefore this shift is only but a preview for what is to come.

Neptune in Pisces had us in a dreamlike state, but Aries, the spiritual warrior, is craving for more action and innovation, pushing the boundaries to what our consciousness knows. It remain in Aries until 2039.

On this Pisces-Aries cusp, we have a culmination of energy that is bouncing back and forth between these two signs. Having Saturn and Neptune shyly enter Aries from Pisces this year. Then mercury and venus both retrograde back into Pisces from Aries before they move back in direct motion. What do these energies have to share with the collective? Where can you cultivate patience and objectivity, instead of hasty action? This duo is asking us to combine our spirituality with practical action-steps and to remain objective, instead of spiritually bypassing.

Every time we have an outer planet transition into a new zodiac sign, knowing that it will stay in the same sign for years, we look back at what was happening collectively the last time it was in the same sign.

The last time Neptune was in Aries (1861-62 / 1874/75) we saw advances made in politics, medicine and science that were better for mankind. An era of idealists and revolutionaries emerged during the Civil War when equal rights were fought for. The evolution theory of Darwin came to life. The Red Cross was established. Louis Pasteur revolutionized food safety with pasteurization. This was a time when new methods and popularity was gained in philosophy and spiritualism.

During the transit of Neptune in Aries, look up where you have Aries in your natal chart. For example, in my birth chart Aries is in the 4th house. Giving it even more relevance is that my natal Jupiter is found there. That means it will have a profound and expansive influence on my family dynamic and life. Learn more about the house in this article.

Except innovation and new ways to relate to spirituality. Neptune lessons will invite us into becoming our own spiritual warrior. Where can you become the leader and hero of your life? Step into your bold, courageous Self and trust that your visions matter. It’s about taking a new approach to your dreams.

What do you truly believe in? That is what this Pisces-Aries energy is inviting you to explore. What are your core beliefs? It is a reminder that your dreams and visions have power. Where have you not followed your intuition? Possibly you are waking up to the reality that what you gave meaning has become meaningless. And new meaning is being born at this moment. Us humans are meant to evolve, and take new forms, and our lives reflect that evolutionary journey. Nothing is meant to stay stagnant, we are forever evolving with life.
